Enterprise Connect connections to Microsoft 365 using Exchange Web Services will stop working after January.

Scheduled for Feb 1, 00:00 UTC  -  Feb 5, 00:00 UTC

Scheduled

In February, Microsoft are disabling support for ApplicationImpersonation within Microsoft 365 environments.
This will prevent us successfully synchronizing calendars within M365 domains connected using Enterprise Connect via Exchange Web Services.

A migration path to Microsoft’s Graph API protocol is ready for affected domains to take, which can be initiated by following the steps documented here. Domains that will be affected have already received email notifications to the contact emails we have on file for their service accounts, and integrators with affected customer domains have also been notified directly.

From February onwards, we will be unable to continue supporting the Exchange Web Services protocol for Enterprise Connect for Microsoft 365 hosted calendars, and any calendars for domains not following the migration path will have their sync disrupted.

We do not anticipate any issues across the platform in general at this time, nor are any of the following use cases affected:
- Calendars syncing via Individual Connect or Business Connect
- Calendars hosted in on-premise environments
- Free-busy only connections
- Any calendars already connected via Microsoft Graph
